ASA Building African Futures book launch – watch online

The ASA team’s book, Building African Futures: 10 Manifestos for Transformative Architecture and Urbanism, was launched at the Venice Bienale in September 2023.

The book is a collection of essays by young African architects, urban planners and activists addressing urgent urban challenges across the continent. It was edited by Kuukuwa Manful, Emmanuel Ofori-Sarpong and Julia Gallagher.

The editors and two of the book’s authors – Olufèmi Hinson Yovo and Fiona Nyadero – spoke at the launch about the book’s themes and the broader project from which it comes.
