Julia is Professor of African Politics at SOAS, University of London.

Julia's research builds on a long-standing interest and engagement in international politics and Africa.

​

Joanne recently completed a PhD at SOAS. Her thesis is a comparative political economy examination of the challenge of late development in the age of neoliberalism in Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Emmanuel is a PhD candidate at SOAS, where his work investigates the politics of new cities in Ghana, Nigeria and Rwanda.

Sunil is responsible for overseeing the operations and activities of the project.  
 

Kuukuwa Manful is a researcher and trained architect who creates, studies, and documents architecture in Africa. She is concurrently a postdoctoral researcher at SOAS, University of London and a visiting postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University’s Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences.

Daniel Mulugeta is a Lecturer in International Politics of Africa at SOAS and a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow. His current project is 'Pan-African frontiers and identities: the remaking of Africa in world politics'. 

Innocent is an Usawa Postdoctoral Research Fellow at SOAS. His current project is 'Comrade businessmen: Chinese firms in Africa, the case of AFECC in Zimbabwe’. ​
