Dr Joanne Tomkinson
Postdoctoral Researcher
Joanne recently completed a PhD at SOAS. Her thesis is a comparative political economy examination of the challenge of late development in the age of neoliberalism in Ethiopia and Vietnam.
Sunil Pun
Project Coordinator
Sunil is responsible for coordinating and managing logistics, financial and reporting processes and communications of the African State Architecture project.
Kuukuwa Manful
PhD Candidate
Kuukuwa is an architect from Ghana with interests in African architectural history and social architecture. She holds an M.Arch from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and an MSc in African Studies from University of Oxford.
Dr Daniel Mulugeta Gebrie
Postdoctoral Researcher
Awarded a PhD in Politics from the University of Sheffield in January 2018, Daniel's thesis examined governance practices and the construction of state ideas in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on Ethiopia.
Innocent Batsani Ncube
PhD Candidate
Innocent is a political scientist from Zimbabwe. He has over 16 years' experience managing national and regional civil society projects that promote political participation and civic engagement.
