As others have nominated architectures from the African continent, I would love to nominate one from an island nation- Seychelles. The Arul Mihu Navasakthi Vinayagar temple is definitely one of my favourite architectures. The Hindu temple is tiny, but it is so stunning: a rainbow of colours against the tin rooves and low buildings of Victoria. Many colorful figures of Hindu deities have been set in niches in the tower-like structure. It reminds us to appreciate the rich culture and diversity of Africa.
