Basilique Saint-Anne-du-Congo, Brazzaville

Submission by Gregoire Borchard

Bold and modern (especially the interior) this building symbolises the fragmented nature of Congolese history and the resilience of its people. A colonial project, the building has been reappropriated by believers. Destroyed during the civil war and today rebuilt, it represents a landmark of Brazzaville landscape.
